Matthew Chapter 1

So in Matthew Chapter 1, it was basically the geneology and birth of Jesus. It did not go into real detail. Versus 1-17 were more of just naming Jesus' ancestors. Then it went on to talk about how the angel came to Joseph in his dream. The birth of Jesus wasn't the typical Nativity Scene, it just said that he was born. It basically focused on Joseph's dream and how he was about to divorce Mary.

I absolutely love Joseph! So it is really neat that his wife was pregnant, without him or her having any sexual relations and the entire town new about it and he accepted it, well after the angel came. Still, the fact that he believed the angel is really amazing. I know if an angel came to me in my sleep, I would be completely freaked out and I most probably wouldn't believe it. Props to Joseph.

So I am a Catholic and I have been thinking that I never really get into my faith. Its just kind of there. I do what I am told and I never really think about it. I want to change that so I am going to start something. Every night, or whenever I can get the chance, I will read a chapter from the New Testament and blog about it. I hope that it works out because I am kind of excited.
